Petrojet was formed in 1975 as a joint stock company specialising in petroleum. The company has executed countless major oil and gas projects in Egypt, as well as eliminating the growing demand of local oil and gas companies to fabricate equipment abroad.
Petrojet has been actively developing an international reputation for HSE and quality commitment. This has qualified the company to obtain the ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001 certificates, in addition to other professional stamps and licenses like IPLOCA, ASME and National Board.
The company implements the latest construction technology and employs around 21,000 technically adept employees in all fields.
Petrojet has succeeded in expanding its activity outside of Egypt and currently operates working branches in Libya, Sudan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the UAE and Algeria.
The companies achievements over the past 35 years include the execution of 90 process plants (oil, gas, petrochemical, industrial; producing 229,000 tons of steel storage tanks (cylindrical, spherical and cryogenic); building 17,000 km of onshore trunk pipelines; heavy civil, civil and building works including over 3.2mn cu/m of concrete; fabrication, erection, load-out, and sea fastening of 150 offshore structures through the company’s two marine fabrication yards.
