ExxonMobil showcases high performance lubricants at WPC

Event News

ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company has introduced its new, fully-synthetic, Mobil SHC 600 series.

The enhanced product range is the latest addition to the Mobil SHC brand of high-performance synthetic lubricants, which have been formulated to help oil and gas companies operating in extreme environments reduce unscheduled downtime and maximise productivity.

Mobil SHC 600 Series oils are expertly formulated to deliver a number of performance advantages over conventional oils. Featuring the latest Mobil SHC technology with advanced synthetic base fluids and proprietary additives, the oils can deliver a service life up to six times longer than competitive mineral oil based gear and bearing lubricants.

Energy savings of up to 3.6 per cent

Developed through extensive laboratory and in-service testing with some of the world's leading equipment manufacturers, the next-generation Mobil SHC 600 Series oils also exhibit energy savings of up to 3.6 per cent* compared with conventional oils. The Mobil SHC 600 Series oils are fully compatible with system components and materials used in equipment normally lubricated with mineral oils, which helps maintenance professionals minimise equipment issues during the conversion process.

In addition, Mobil SHC 600 oils also demonstrate outstanding low temperature fluidity to enable start up and operation at low temperatures, and excellent resistance to rusting and corrosion for equipment protection.

Online oil analysis service

In addition to its range of high quality lubricants, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company offers its proprietary online oil analysis service, Signum. Signum enables operators to proactively monitor the condition of lubricants and address undesirable conditions which have the potential to lead to unscheduled downtime and increased costs.

At World Petroleum Congress, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company will be showcasing its extensive offer of advanced lubrication solutions, including Mobil SHC 800 (turbine oils) and Mobil Rarus SHC 1020 series (compressor oils), at stand 7102.

*Energy efficiency relates solely to the fluid performance when compared with conventional reference oils of the same viscosity grade in gear applications. The technology used allows up to 3.6 percent efficiency compared with the reference when tested in a worm gearbox under controlled conditions. Efficiency improvements will vary based on operating conditions and application
