Technology

Italian company Spina Group, specialising in customised solutions for industrial plants and operating in the O&G and energy, has announced the start-up of its third production unit Eurocavi

Eurocavi will offer a complete range including structured solutions and comprehensive support for the industry. The unit manufactures different types of low-voltage cables (instrumentation, energy, thermocouple, special cables) and is able to provide short length cables.

In the past four years, Spina Group has made production investments for almost US$4.43mn and, at the same time, engaged in an intensive programme of internationalisation, opening offices abroad to follow their main oil and gas customers. Spina Group operates in the UAE, Egypt, Mexico, Nigeria and the Netherlands.

Spina Group sales director Marco Spina, said, “Spina Group is a rapidly growing company and we are proud to announce today the launch of our new production unit, Eurocavi.

“Spina Group is one of the few Italian companies that, in a period of severe economic crisis, has decided to invest heavily inside the country where we want to maintain production and where we shall continue to invest. In parallel to this, we are going to increase overseas investment to strengthen the presence of Spina Group in the countries where our major oil and gas customers operate.”

Spina Group was established in 1990 as a supplier of electrical equipment and spare parts for the industry. The company has transformed its core business from distribution to production due to the acquisition of the leading cable tray manufacturer Schiavetti Tekno in 2008 and the opening of Atex srl for the production of explosion-proof materials in 2011.

According to the company, the cables produced by Eurocavi are manufactured in full compliance with all applicable regulations. In particular, the company is highly specialised in the production of special cables to customer specifications. In the absence of specifications, the field of application is analysed and the best solution is proposed, designed on the real technical and environmental needs.
