Metso launches new valve controller at ADIPEC 2015

(Image source: Metso)Metso announced the launch of Neles NDX valve controller for oil & gas and petrochemical industries at ADIPEC 2015 that was held recently from 9-12 November in Abu Dhabi

According to the company, the valve controller provides reliable and safe functionality; is fast and easy to install; and allows time saving when commissioning a valve.

Juha Kivelä, business development manager, Middle East Valve Controls Business Line at Metso, said that customers can cut installation costs by half with simple mounting, magnetic position sensor, intuitive local user interface and quick calibration.

Some of the features of NDX valve controller include optimised performance on linear valves, superior diagnostics and data storage capabilities; local and remote configuration; easy interpretation of diagnostics data with Metso FieldCare software; low air consumption; device self diagnostics; online, performance and communication diagnostics; and Hot swap support, which is the possibility to install also on valves that are in process.

Available in the market from 2016, Kivelä added that the new NDX valve controller would strengthen Metso’s position as leading valve control supplier.
